The field team is responsible for monitoring several large-scale, long-term field studies in south eastern Australia. These studies are conducted under the guidance of Professor David Lindenmayer. The team forms part of the The Conservation and Landscape Ecology Group of the Fenner School within The Australian National University.

Led by David, the team consists of eight full time field based researchers. Each member of the team is highly experienced in ecological monitoring and several staff have worked with the team for over a decade. We work closely with landholders, Parks staff, organizations, university students, academics, and hundreds of skilled volunteers each year. The research undertaken would not be possible without the assistance of all these participants. We would like to also show respect and acknowledge the traditional custodians of this land, of elders past and present, on which this research takes place.

The team is also responsible for the publication and distribution of our research through peer-reviewed journals, books, talks, radio, calendars, newsletters, pamphlets, online articles, tweets, and now, this blog. The communication of the outcomes of the research is imperative to furthering the understanding of biodiversity, and guiding management actions across landscapes.
